Hailing from the rolling hills of Zululand, Ntsiki Biyela embarked on a life-changing journey to the Cape Winelands, where she discovered her talent and passion for crafting captivating wines. Ntsiki is the first black woman winemaker in South Africa. Out of her dream comes a brand that pays tribute to her beloved grandmother, Aslina.

WIth a degree in Agriculture (Viticulture and Oenology)and 13 years of winemaking experience in Stellenbosch (and some in Bordeaux) Ntsiki brings serious experience to her wines.   In 2009 she was crowned Woman Winemaker of the Year in 2009 and continues to innovate in the field, as well as sitting on the board of directors for the Pinotage Youth Development Academy, which provides technical training and personal development for young South Africans.

This wine is complex and full bodied with golden orchard and tropical fruit, a creamy richness and great acidity balancing out the use of oak.
