Originally from Scotland and hailing from three generations of Cape winemakers, the Lothian vineyards are further cooled down by their unique location on a large body of water.  Due to its high altitude and cool winds from the Atlantic Ocean,  Elgin is one of the coolest wine regions in South Africa.

This is a Light plum red with attractive oak spices, red plum, orange and some oatmeal. Lovely ripeness of fruit on the palate, this has fabulous balance of juicy ripe fruits with dark chocolate, orange and strawberry and red berries with a crisp clean acidity, powdery but light tannins and undulating length of flavor on the extended finish.
