This aromatic white is a blend of two native Sicilian varietals, Albanello and Zibibbo. The wine is fermented dry; Zibibbo lends a floral, aromatic complexity while Albanello adds structure.

It seems Occhipinti does her magic with whites as well as her reds. The two varietals are native to Sicily and are grown on red sand soils over limestone rock, with vines averaging 15 years old on four different sites. The vines are organically farmed and hand-harvested then co-fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks. The wine is aged in concrete tank for 8 months and bottled unfiltered. The wine is named "SP68" for the road near Arianna's home vineyard in Vittoria.

This wine is joyful and expressive from seductive tropical aromas into a palate of jasmine, white tea, orchard fruit and honey with a lengthy, lifted finish.
